Happy Birthday, Owen!

Today, our first love turned 4!  We cannot believe how fast these 4 years have gone by!  We remember the day like it was yesterday.  Born at 7:08 pm, 7 pounds, 10 ounces.  

 This past weekend we celebrated YOU all weekend!  We took you to your first NCSU football game:

 

 

 

 Then to Monkey Joe's:

 Then out to dinner and over to Nanny and Pops' house for dessert and your birthday present:

This morning, we celebrated your birthday at school. We brought cinnamon buns and fruit for breakfast, and made "birthday cakes" with fun art supplies!

 

Tonight, we ate your favorite foods for dinner (chicken, mac and cheese, and grapes).  Daddy surprised you with cupcakes from your favorite bakery, however, you decided on a Reese's cup instead because you aren't a huge fan of sweets.

Then it was time for your presents!

 We love you, sweet boy!  You will always be our favorite little boy!  We hope you had the best birthday yet!

 

This weekend we will continue your birthday celebration with your friends at the farm!  

Where did October go??

I keep asking myself this question over and over again!  I can't believe I haven't blogged in OVER a month!  I am so disappointed in myself.  This time of year is always so busy for us.  In one month alone, we:

had a mini reunion with some of my college friends,

celebrated a special 1st birthday,

attended my aunt's wedding,

joined a new /swim/tennis/golf club,

spent a weekend in the mountains with playgroup moms,

(the dads did a good job keeping themselves busy!)

went to several fall festivals,

celebrated Halloween,

 

decorated Nanny and Pops' snowman tree,

watched Owen play his last soccer game (and get his first trophy),

and voted!

I've also spent a lot of time filling out interim reports and report cards, preparing for parent/teacher conferences later this week, and planning Owen's 4th farm birthday party!  

Let the holiday season begin!!
