Tubing Trip

Saturday was our 2nd Annual Tubing Trip!  We had such a great time!  The water level was pretty high, so it didn't take us long to get down the river- about 2.5 hours to float down a 2 mile stretch of the Dan River.  I've never laughed so hard in my life!!  Eight people went, and we almost lost three of them along the way!  During some of the "rapids" they broke away from the group and were tossed in the trees along the riverbank.  After we learned that everyone was okay, it was hilarious!  Trying to hold your shoes, staying connected to the group, avoiding the rocks, and protecting the cooler float was hard work!

 We decided cupcakes would be an appropriate afternoon snack today.  This is why I LOVE teaching preschoolers!  

 Then I came home to this:

 Looks like I will be eating cupcakes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner tomorrow!  

28 was a fantastic year, however, I'm certain 29 will be even better :)

 We still have to add black ribbon to these curtains (so they match the other ones) and iron them.  We took the rocking chair out to give him more room:

He was passed out at 6:45 in his new bed and he never even tried to get out!  I've been glued to the monitor ever since!

As we were reading books, he kept looking up at his bed naming all of his stuffed animals.  I guess he wanted to make sure they made the transition too!

Now what to do with the nursery??
