Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Day weekend poolside.  It was opening weekend, so the pool was quite busy.  The sun was blazing hot, however, the water was a tad bit chilly!  As you can see, Owen and Emery didn't seem to mind...

College Roomies

Just this week, I received an email reminding me that my 10 year college reunion is coming up.  ALREADY??

It's amazing to think that our friendship started in high school. We were the only two from RHS that attended Meredith, where we were roommates for 4 years.  During this time, we learned a lot about each other, we supported each other, we argued, and we even shared a car!  It seems like it was yesterday.  Here we are now, in 2014, with a total of 5 babies between the two of our families.  Blessed is an understatement!

From one angel to another, thank you sweet friend!  Thank you for the memories made, the words of wisdom, and the loads of laughter!  I look forward to continuing to grow our friendship (as well as our children's) over the next 10 years!!

Owen's first swim lesson

Now that soccer is over, Owen is taking swim lessons two days a week.  On his first visit, he was a little nervous and attached to Nanny's hip.  After about five minutes, he was in the water and seemed comfortable with his teacher.

He took swim lessons last summer at the Y, but honestly, he didn't get much out of it.  The class was very crowded, there was a ton of wait time, and you could barely hear the instructor.  We decided to enroll him in private lessons at my gym this time around.  We are hoping that Owen will continue to enjoy the water, and eventually learn to swim independently.

Little Kickers

Yesterday was Owen's last day of soccer.  He has truly enjoyed the last 6 weeks of learning about the game, skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.  We are so proud of the little guy he has become!  Way to go Owen!
