Memorial Day Weekend

We decided to stay in town this year for Memorial Day.  Mainly because our pool opened, but also because we wanted to be lazy!  We watched a lot of baseball (these pics were from the game Wednesday), 

 spent every day at the pool meeting new friends,

and going shortless!

We also noticed Owen got two new teeth this weekend!  I think they are all in now.  Along with the new teeth came a fever, upset tummy, and horrible diaper rash.  Thankfully, I had some organic oats on hand, so I put them in the food processor and made oatmeal powder to put in his bath.  I hope he never has to deal with that again!

I love the fact that Owen falls asleep on his own at night, however, I hate the fact that he waves and says "bye bye" when I put him in his crib.  Something about that just breaks my heart.

Perhaps I should reinforce the phrase "nite nite"...

You bet!

Tonight's dinner consisted of shrimp skewers on the barbie, marinated veggies, and quinoa.

Full belly and feelin' good :)

1st Field Trip

Thursday afternoon we headed out to Ingram's Strawberry Farm for Owen's first school field trip.  Another parent captured these precious moments:

I'm pretty sure we owe the farm several more dollars for all of the berries Owen consumed before we paid!

Mother's Day Weekend

We spent Saturday celebrating with my mom (Mimi),

 and Sunday celebrating with Pat's mom (Nanny).

It was a fantastic weekend!  

Thanks to both of our moms for the love, support, encouragement, and words of wisdom over the years!  We are truly blessed to call you our own.  We would not be who we are today without you!
