Friday night lights

Friday evening we ventured to Durham to watch our brother-in-law, Paul, coach his Athens Drive lacrosse team in the first round of playoffs. The boys did a fantastic job, winning with a final score of 14-9.

Owen was a little sad at first when the crowd cheered, but then he got used to the noise. He even squeezed in a little cat nap towards the end of the game!


Good job uncle "coach" Paul! Hopefully one day you will teach Owen how to play lacrosse!

The Royal Wedding

Simply beautiful!

Unfortunately, I missed the grand entrance. 5:00 am was a little too early for me. However, I have been glued to all of the re-runs and post-wedding shows!

This little one cracks me up! Children tell it like it is...or show it in this case!

The secret is out...

Amy and Brian are having another baby!

Owen's first beach trip

Easter weekend, we went down to the Goodman/Lehman beach house for a little rest, relaxation, and family time. As always, Owen was an angel. The night before we left he slept from 7:00 pm until 6:00 am. Needless to say, I was able to get everything packed and ready to go without being interrupted! Every day we were down there, Owen went to bed at his normal bedtime, took a long morning nap, and a decent afternoon nap. One afternoon he slept for 2 hours and 45 minutes! He is becoming quite the little sleeper these days.

Owen LOVED everything about the beach: stroller rides, squishing sand between his toes, the feel of water splashing on his feet, eating sand, blowing bubbles, sucking on watermelon, and sporting his new shades!

Brotherly love

I think I mentioned this before, but Owen is really interested in Mason and Raleigh. Whenever they come around he kicks his legs, waves his arms, and gets really excited! He even laughs out loud and tries to grab them. We are working on gentle touches with the pooches! Here are some pics from their latest interaction:

Raleigh is very tolerant, whereas Mason is still a little cautious when Owen gets near him. Like everything else, it is a work in progress...
