You've Got Mail

Between today and yesterday, several exciting packages arrived in our mailbox. I received a winter hat I ordered for Owen (see below pics), his 1st birthday invitations, and a bib that says, "I love Meredith College" from The Alumnae Office. The bib was completely unexpected- a nice little surprise!
In other news, Owen has his first ear infection (b00). Poor thing had a few sleepless nights, watery eyes, a runny nose, loss of appetite, and a slight fever. Hoping for a healthy weekend...

Success!

This weekend we were very successful!

1. We transitioned Owen from a bottle to a sippy cup! The bottles are now packed away.

2. We took Owen to the Greensboro Children's Museum. He had such a great time. In fact, we are going back this week to buy a membership!

All that playing made little man hot- he had to shed some clothes!

Guess who we bumped into at the museum?

CURIOUS GEORGE!!

Exploring a fire truck

I'm pretty sure this was his favorite toy. He carried it everywhere!

He tried his best to work this puzzle!

3. We randomly decided to re-arrange our living room. I don't have any before pics, but this is the new arrangement.

4. We ordered Owen's 1st birthday invitations (and I bought supplies to make some decorations!).
5. I cleaned out, and organized, Owen's closet in preparation for fall/winter.
6. Pat put out grass seed and fertilizer in our yard.

We also managed to hit up Rita's Italian Ice AND Steak and Shake for a milkshake!

mommy or daddy?

Everyone tells us that Owen looks just like Pat. However, when I came home today, Pat informed me that he thinks Owen looks just like me when I was little!

Owen:

Daddy:
What do you think??

Pat was a little older in his pic, so in all fairness, it's hard to compare...
