Emery Jane no longer has to wear her helmet!  We are SO glad this phase is behind us!  

Takin' it Back...

I recently attended Greensboro Day School's spring fundraiser, "A Night at the Drive-In".  The theme this year was retro/50's.  There was a silent and live auction, tons of food, beer and wine, old cars, a movie playing on the big screen, photo booth, and an Elvis impersonator!  A local hair salon was there giving everyone 50's hairstyles!  It was fun to hang out with co-workers and families in a non-work/school environment!

Dying Easter Eggs

Last night, after we put Emery to bed, Pat, Owen, and I dyed Easter eggs.  This was Owen's first experience dying eggs.  He was a great helper!  He put the tablets in the water, stirred the vinegar around, and patiently watched as the eggs turned colors.  This morning, after the eggs were dry, Owen decorated them with stickers.  He even requested the orange egg in his lunch today!  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the final products...after carrying them around the house/playing with them, they are now cracked, peeled, and in the trash!  Looks like we will be using plastic eggs for our egg hunt this weekend!
